Lucas & Azzy - Final and Rationale

~Credit List~
We have titled the posts depending on who did the specific set of work contained in the post.
Posts with both of our names we did together.

~ Rationale ~

Derived from a combination of our Puna projects, we used the setting of a first date and surreal, warped characters. We used the style we thought worked well with the surreal element of our project, an inked, drawn style over texture with a soft natural colour scheme. We explored the idea of individuality. Understanding that we are all different on the inside and that we have the right to express ourselves and our own opinion. Our differences are what makes us unique and this is needed for a sustainable social culture.
We portrayed this by having two identical, expressionless robots on a date. They begin their date with general chit chat and then an argument sparks over a painting on the wall. This argument causes each robot to crack and fall apart, revealing their true form underneath. Showing their own true opinions and individuality. They accept each other despite their differences and continue to have a good time.
We used speech bubbles containing symbols/icons to clearly show the communication between the two characters. We also included the use of body language, to show the changing feelings of the characters as the story progresses. The colours of the unique characters are brighter than the setting, and in contrast to each other, to emphasize their individuality. All of these aspects formed quite a successful little story that showed that diversity in society is important.
